We use the ChronoTrack suite of products to support events requiring a RFID timing solution. Some of the largest events in the world use ChronoTrack, including the New York and Paris Marathons (We have helped at the Paris Marathon). We have the most ChronoTrack hardware in the UK enabling us to support many timing locations and complex events.
This system comes with the option of using disposable timing chips (B-Tags) attached to race numbers or reusable multi sport tags (MST) designed for events such as triathlon or swimming. For most mass participation events B-Tags are the best option.
We began our journey into chip timing with the emit system via the orienteering world. Emit is market-leading in the Nordic region regarding the development and sale of timing systems for orienteering, cross-country skiing, biathlon and many other sports. The versatility of this system allows us to adapt this technology for use in events that differ from the norm or those that require a more lightweight option. The ability of the chips to hold data means you don't have to have a lot of equipment at a timing location. This system is useful for events such as ultras, adventure races or anything remote. It also has some very simple variations that make it good for DIY timing.
Whether you’re holding it in your hand or mounting it to a tripod, the AeroTrack reader is impressively accurate, portable, and lightweight! If you have a small event and/or a finish line where finisher density is low, then this could be the option for you. We provide the AeroTrack(s), you use them at the event and we provide remote support to produce live results. A great option for when the budget is tight but you still want chip timing.
The AeroTrack is also a great addition to any normal event to provide cost effective split timing points
