Thanks to Paul Keeble of SN and Trish Monks of BKO for some really challenging courses at Henley Gate, there were a lot of favourable comments at download, even from those caught out by all the bouncing across the area. It was decided the southern part of the map was just to overgrown to be used so you were spared the long runs down and back.

Next week we have the second event in the new MLS season on Long Valley Northwest, with parking in Tweseldown and courses going north onto Brocks hill and also SE into Chestnut Copse. The runnability is better than Henley Gate.

Over the last 3 years the MLS has been able to maintain the entry fees despite costs generally creeping up, this was largely due to us having the AOA licence for the Land Charges made by DIO which were fixed for the 3 yr duration of the licence.  The AOA Licence has just been renegotiated with DIO for the another 3 years; unfortunately, DIO have imposed a significant increase in Land Charges for civilian runners, which we tried hard to avoid.

The MLS committee has had to review the entry fees taking into account this increases in Land Charges and also the general increase in organising costs, particularly map costs. The full review looked to keep entry fees as low as is practicable and fair for all.
